We have too many Kirks in the world and not enough Picards. We men need to be proud of our masculinity. We should not be afraid to admit to the world that as Men, we are attracted to Women, and that those of us who are called to Marriage want to be Husbands to our beautiful Wife who we want to protect and be faithful to.
Teaching Courage is a constant thing. So is recognizing hypocrisy.
But these kids are a different story and what happens to them at the hands of their teachers or in their own homes (as happened to one of my siblings) is the egregious crime that gets filed away as a story in the dark corner of the room that needs light shone upon it.
According to Mr. Obama, if you are with the majority and vote for immoral things like slavery, you have Courage; but if you are with the majority and vote to eradicate immoral things like slavery, you lack Courage – a coward.
You would not put your family at risk by being unarmed. I understand and concur. And you should not put you and your family at risk of disobeying your bishop.
