While this term refers to activity outside of Marriage, we use the term “Extra-Marital” instead of “Pre-Marital” because “Pre” assumes a marriage is going to happen. It is quite obvious that, increasingly, such is not the case – and in instances where a child chooses to behave as married when not, he is in no way capable of knowing for certain that he will be married, let alone married to the person with whom he engages in such behavior.
